All Rackham applicants must audition, interview, and/or present a portfolio. Those auditioning must audition in person on the Ann Arbor campus for a committee of faculty. Some programs require a pre-screening recording; use the links below to check your specific departmental requirements.
Interviews with a select number of applicants in Composition and Composition/Theory are scheduled following review of application dossiers.
In exceptional circumstances, applicants living outside North America may upload an audition recording. Upload the unedited recording containing the prescribed repertoire using the link below.
A confirmation of your audition/interview date will be sent by email after receipt and processing of your application, transcripts, personal statement, and any other materials required by your program. A non-refundable audition/interview fee of $35.00 will be assessed, and is payable upon receipt of a confirmed audition/interview date.
Approximately two weeks before your confirmed audition/interview date, you will be notified of the specific time and room location for your audition and/or interview. Maps, and travel and lodging information are available here.
The last date to audition/interview in Ann Arbor for fellowship and assistantship consideration is March 1, 2013.
